In 2026, I discovered that I had Canadian lineage and was eligible to apply for recognition of my Canadian citizenship, but I’m not an attorney and I wish I knew that I didn’t need one before I was targeted by an unscrupulous immigration attorney. But I picked myself up and figured it out on my own. I’m proud to share my journey towards fully embracing my Canadian roots.
